Penalty for rearresting party after discharge. — Everyone who, knowing that any person has been discharged by competent authority on a habeas corpus, shall, contrary to the provisions of this chapter, arrest such person again for the same cause, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and shall also pay to the party aggrieved five hundred dollars.
