Consultation with licensed insurance producer, navigator to advise, when. — Upon contact with a person who acknowledges having existing health insurance coverage obtained through an insurance producer, a navigator shall advise the person to consult with a licensed insurance producer regarding coverage in the private market.

(2016) Provision requiring state navigators to refer certain persons to consult with licensed insurance producers was preempted by the federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. St. Louis Effort for AIDS v. Huff, 170 F.Supp.3d 1219 (W.D.Mo.).
